How to use the pledge optimizer

Perilous Frontiers offers many sets and bundles, and they share a lot of pieces. Tell the optimizer which pieces you want, and it finds the cheapest combination of sets that gives you at least that many of each. It also shows what extras come along.

Quick start

  1. Enter quantities in Desired pieces (left). Or click Add beside sets on the right to copy in their contents as a starting point.
  2. Click Optimize.
  3. Read the Pledge summary for what to buy and the Item manifest for everything you'll get.

Desired pieces

Each row is a piece. Type how many you want, and leave 0 for pieces you don't care about. Groups follow the community spreadsheet: new pieces by color scheme (Universal, Arctic, Desert), all unpainted pieces, printed materials, accessories, and pieces reused from earlier Dwarven Forge products.

The code beside each piece tells you which version it is (hover over it for a reminder):

…-w-PPainted, Desert scheme
…-i-PPainted, Arctic scheme
…-PPainted, same in both schemes
…-UUnpainted. One unpainted sculpt matches both painted versions.
…-TPrinted materials: textures, mats, backdrops
…-ZHardware and accessories: pegs, rods, stilts, lights

+1 of each painted / unpainted raises every piece of that kind to at least 1. Filter pieces searches names and codes, and Only show desired hides the zeros. Your entries are saved in this browser automatically. Use Save / Load to keep them in a CSV file or move them to another computer.

Recipes

"I want this bundle, but cheaper"
Add the bundle, tick its Omit box, and Optimize. You'll see whether a mix of smaller sets beats it. (Usually not: bundles are discounted.)
"I want to build A or B, not both at once"
Switch to Max, Add A, then Add B. Shared pieces are counted once, at the larger quantity.
"I want painted pieces but will paint some myself"
Enter painted quantities for the pieces you want painted and unpainted quantities for the rest. The optimizer mixes painted and unpainted sets.
"I want one of everything"
Click +1 of each painted (or unpainted) and Optimize.
